How the Automatic Fisherman works is when a fish bites your bait and swims, the bobber on the line will come up to the fishing rod and create tension. The steel trigger shaft will drop down, causing the fishing rod to move off the post and set the hook. The red trigger arm will fall out of the way to give you a tangle-free area to fight your fish. You're putting all of the tension on the drag system of the reel as the fish runs which will allow you to lose fewer fish. And the best part is you get to fight the fish on your rod, not with your hands.
